About Me

My background is unique in that it blends technical rigor with commercial strategy. I majored in Electronics Engineering with a focus on Artificial Neural Networks, alongside an MBA in International Management specialising in Strategic Marketing.

I started my career in the telecom space, worked for approximately 2 years as a network engineer for an Indo-Russian telecom company (MTS Telecom), managing the tech integration in the designated zone.

In 2013, I transitioned to the e-commerce space, working for an Indo-German fashion apparel brand (Stalbuylove) for more than 6 years, as a Business Intelligence manager, where I translated complex data into strategies that fueled growth for both online and offline operations.

Gradually, promoted to the Marketing and Growth Manager role, using both the right and left sides of my brain, not just analysing metrics but also working on the creative side of the paid and social media ads, from creative design to ad copy writing, depending upon the task ahead.

In 2019, I started my B2B Edtech company (thegurugyan), with a mission to develop the best test-taking and learning platform in the edtech space for the small and medium education space in India and make it universally available. I headed the Product & Growth team, working with the product team to build the MVP and determine MVS, doing market research (from focus groups to open-ended market research). Worked with the growth team by enabling the sales and marketing team to put the working model of the product in the market. From 2019 to 2023, the business was generating an average. $12m ARR.

After an MBA from ESCP Paris, I started working as a Product Marketing and Growth consultant for a UK-based marketing company (Straccel), where I developed and enabled clients with all the aspects of the Go-to-market strategy for their products. Managed projects for over six distinct clients in high-growth industries (Fintech, EdTech, B2B SaaS) over the last two years.
